Now a temple has been constructed with all the deities pertaining to the Shiva temple. An Amman sannidhi with the name Mangalambigai has also been added to the temple. Since the mouth of the ancient Nandhi has been damaged a New Nandhi has been placed in its place. The old Nandhi is also found in this temple. The Name Vyakrapureeswara has been changed to Sornapureeswarar as a new name was adviced to the people in that area to be kept for the deity.
